To me chapter 8 was a sort of depressing one because Douglas was separated from his friends and the Baltimore kids who he was learning from. Also that he lost his old master and had to get a new one. One thing that was good was that his new master wasn't pr at least didn't seem that cruel. I didn't like chapter 9 because it was horrible how Douglas' new slave master never feed his slaves enough, so they would have to steel food from their neighbores. I also didn't like how he would send them to Mr. Covey to break in any slaves that needed it. I didn't really liek chapter 10 because it was very depressing how Mr. Covey beat Douglas and how hard he worked them. I didn't like how Covey worked them in all forms of weather because that is just cruel
Chapter 8
Question- Why did Douglas go to Mrs. Lucretia?
Comment- This chapter was kind of depressing because of how the slaves where treated like proporty.
Chapter 9
Question- Why did Master Thomas not give them enough food?
Comment- I didn't like how Thomas treated his slaves.
Chapter 10
Question-Why did Mr. Cavey work them in all forms of weather?
Comment- I don't like Mr. Cavey because of how he treats his slaves.
When i was reding this i thiught the same thing. These things that he went through were terrible. You have described your side well. Good Job!
ReplyDeleteI love were you are going with this but you should expand on the idea and use spellcheck just saying. It was sad to read Douglass being beaten up and being whipped till he almost died.
ReplyDeletei really like how passionate you are about ow they are treated inhumainly and that its because their one master died and ended up having a worse master. you did a great job of conveyin how this made you feel.
