There were a lot of different things that happened on this section of the book. It was really sad how Ona couldn’t get a holiday after her wedding and had to work. It was also sad and unfair how Marija lost her job and couldn’t get married. It was awesome how Jurgis became a citizen and could do a lot more things. It was cheap and unfair how the realtor didn’t tell them that they also had to have insurance on the house. It was cruel how Marija couldn’t put her money back in the bank after the “run,” it wasn’t her fault, she didn’t understand what was going on. It was unfair how Jurigs had lost his job and couldn’t get any other work. It was very unfair how Teta Elzbieta lost her last child and how Jurgis’ only work was in a fertilizer plant. It was cruel and unfair how they had six more years of their lives like this to pay for the house. It was very weird how Ona lied to Jurgis about where she had been. It was unfair and I really hated how Jurgis was put in jail for beating up Conner for basically raping his wife. It was a nice dull to the pain when Jurgis meet a new friend in prison who had it pretty well of and was getting revenge. It was mean and unfair how the court didn’t tellhom about cort costs and he had to stay in jail longer. It was weird how when he went to his house it looked completely different and how the com[any lied to the family now there that it was brand new. It was extreamilty sad that ONa had to die because of what Conner did to her.

ReplyDeleteGood responses, but your righting is a little choppy since you begin each sentence with "it was unfair how..." It seemed like more of a list. Other than that, you had the right content. Keep on bloggin'!

ReplyDeleteI liked that you said what you liked, disliked, and what was unfair. it really shows that you felt stuff while you were reading... i think it would have been a little better thought if you didnt start a lot of your sentences with it was unfair how...... and then again and again... but other than that i think you did a realy good job and can tell that you read the chapters (:
