Reaction to chapters 20-22 the Jungle

There were a lot of sad things that happened in this section of the book. One is that they waited a while to burry Ona. That is very weird, but I can understand that they wanted a proper funeral. Another thing is that Jurgis didn’t get his job back, he almost got one but he learned that he will never get a job because of what he did to Conner. He eventually got one in a farm machinery manufacturing plant is was very good. Of course, the plant closed down and he was back out of work. Jurgis found another job at a steel mill in Chicago which is good even if a bit dangerous. His work was so far away that he only saw his family at most once a week, which was pretty sad. Then one time when he gets home he finds out his son is dead, that is just perfect, he is hit with tragedy after tragedy. He finaly cracks, he leaves Packing town which is good and bad. He is at least a free man know and gets more food and money than he did in the towns. It is a nice surprise when he meets others like him who help him to steal and beg and even where to go and not go. It is unbelievable how many men and woman there are that are doing what he is doing, and getting along just fine.
