Reaction to chapter 29-30 the jungle

When Jurgis didn’t want to leave the speech, I felt that it was sad that he wanted to stay so bad because he had nowhere else to go. When Jurgis met the speaker and then meet Ostrinski and started to learn about socialism was very good for Jurgis so he could see different points of view. Then it was also good when Ostrinski invited him to stay the night at his house, even though he didn’t have much room, which to me was a very kind gesture. When Jurgis had the chance to join the worldwide socialist party and took it was very awesome for Jurgis because he might help to change America. When he told Elzbieta and she decided to join him, which was great because that was more power for their movement. When Jurgis decide to go into a hotel and got a job, that was great, but on top of that his boss is part of the socialist movement so that is just icing in the cake. Jugis got very lucky with his boss, the boss sounds, to me, to be a great guy to be around. Jurgis’ boss was very socialist, he preached it whenever he could, which is really good if you are a socialist. The hotel sounds like a nice place to work especially of you like to party, but if you don’t then you will by the time you leave. This was one of the better parts of the book, there is no death or great misfortunes, that was refreshing to have.
